Make your move easier and less stressful by creating a priority box containing items you’ll need the night you move in and the day afterward. Having these items immediately available when you get to your new residence is particularly useful if you don’t feel like unpacking anything beyond the basics for a day or two.
The best thing to do is bring the box with you in the car as you drive to your new residence. If you decide to pack it with the moving truck, make sure it’s loaded last into the truck and unloaded first.
Your Palm Bay moving company has created a list of suggested items you can include in your priority box:
- MEDICATION – medications and vitamins you take daily
- TOILETRIES – shampoo, conditioner, soap, toilet paper, toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving gear, makeup, glasses, contact lens supplies
- CLOTHING – pajamas, underwear and socks, one or more comfortable outfits
- SNACKS – beverages, chips, pretzels, peanuts, trail mix
- BEDDING – sheets, blankets, pillows, pillowcases, quilt/comforter
- NIGHTTIME NEEDS – alarm, books, magazines
- CLEANING SUPPLIES – trash bags, all-purpose cleaner, sponges
- BATH LINENS – shower curtain, towels, washcloths, bathmat
- SMALL APPLIANCES – laptop, hairdryer, coffee maker, cell phone, and chargers
- PAPER PRODUCTS – plastic cups, paper towels, plastic utensils
- ENTERTAINMENT – DVDs, cards, board games, books, laptop
- PET SUPPLIES – pet food, food and water dishes, pet bed, litter and box
