We are in the midst of a changing tide here in Brevard County, FL and the rest of the world for that matter. We’ve seen nothing like the sweeping changes we are all currently facing, and it is perfectly okay to not be okay at the moment. A Mother’s Touch Movers wants all of our clients, friends, and community members to know that just as we’ve stood by you in the past, we will continue to do so now. You aren’t alone. You never were. If you are in the middle of selling or buying during this unprecedented time, we know just how stressful the experience can be. Real estate is changing. Moving is changing. What will not change, however, is our commitment to you. As the world around us undergoes continuously adjusts to new developments in the fight against COVID-19, we are here to provide unwavering support.

Under the latest guidance from our state government, FL is under a 30-day stay at home order. What does this mean for residents? Residents have been advised to stay at home unless it is to take care of essential tasks such as grocery shopping and the like. This additional time at home will most likely not be a rest break for many residents of Brevard. School-aged children are now in online learning, a curve that many are learning to navigate daily. Many businesses have told their workers to continue their work duties from home, whilst others are navigating work in a multitude of ways.

None of this is easy. This is all new. It’s incredibly new for us too.

If you are looking for a way to make some changes around your home, we would love to give you some suggestions. However, please know that in this current climate, sometimes the best we can all do is survive. This being said, here are some great ways to incorporate some sprucing up in the event of a few minutes of downtime.

1. Clean out your closet

Whether you are moving or not, it always feels good to go through your clothing and get rid of things you know you won’t use anymore. If you have a few moments throughout the next several weeks, you can get this task done with relative ease.

2. Tend to your yard

Gardening is one of the best stress relievers out there. You don’t have to do a complete overhaul here. Take a few minutes each day and pull some weeds. Plant those summer vegetables you’ve been thinking about. You can even pull out the lawnmower for some additional exercise.

3. Organize your home office

Many of you are now working from home. Perhaps you already had a designated office space. If not, maybe you are using a corner of your living room or utilizing the guest bedroom for your current workspace. Whatever the case may be, now is a great time to create a workspace for yourself of your kids who are now learning from home.
